you should clarify that sexually-suggestive behavior in public is in bad taste. the father who hopes that his daughter will be excited tech, etc. might find that his daughter prefers sex work to retail/restaurant/whatever boring work. would he love her less? would he react the same if it were his son who was paid for sexual work? looking down our noses at sex workers is in bad taste. just as not everyone can be a talented hacker, not everyone can be physically attractive. it's not for shame, and both should be valued equally by society.
That's a valid opinion but beside the point I think. This isn't a value judgement on lap dancers but a judgement that employing them in an open conference is in bad taste.
